I had the pleasure of taking Drake and Gage's photos back during the summer. This time they brought their adorable cousins with them. The grandparents wanted pics of all the grandchildren in their western attire. Aren't they adorable?? I had so much fun, even though I only got a couple of shots with hats on all four of their heads. Drake kept throwing his hat off, and then giggling. I loved it, it's real life, it showed his sweet personality. And can I say some of my favorite photos are where he's sucking his two fingers and holding his blankie, that's just too sweet for words.

The Strickland Family
Have I mentioned lately how much I love to take pictures? Oh how much fun this large family was, especially Mr. Strickland the head of this wonderful family. Mr. Strickland is a farmer, who absolutely loves what he does. He was like a little kid on Christmas morning during this photo shoot. He kept saying, “I’ve wanted to have my family’s picture taken in this field for years. I’m so excited we were able to do this.” His love for his family, the land, the animals are so precious. I overheard part of a conversation he was having with one of his granddaughters after he let the cows out to the pasture. Before he let them in the field to graze they were mooing so loudly, then it became so quiet when they began to graze. He knelt down to one of his granddaughter and said something like this, “There’s a passage in the Bible that says, ‘He makes me lie down in green pastures’ do you see how happy and content the cows are now, God wants us to like this.” He took such joy from the simple things in life, what a life lesson for all of us.

The Cain Family
I took the Cain family to one of my "new" favorite spots, Brookside Greenway, for their family portraits. We had such a good time, I enjoyed meeting all the boys, and the two ladies of the family, Rene, the mom, and Pattie, the golden retriever. I bet there is never a dull moment at this household. Such a beautiful family, it just makes my heart happy.

Baby Rowan
Newborn Rowan, her mother, grandmother, and her great-aunt came and spent a Sunday afternoon with me. My sweet husband made the little bed for me from a old barn wood. I was so excited to meet little miss Rowan, and to let her be the first to try out the little bed made for a sweet princess like her.
